Durif is a crossing of Peloursin and Syrah/Shiraz and produces full bodied, strong flavoured wines that are dry and characterised by intense, deep colour and high tannin content. While this wine can be consumed now, especially with rich meaty dishes, game or grilled or barbecued meats, it will repay with extended cellaring.
